SELECTION CRITERIA FOR chieftaincy Title Nomination

WEN’s Chiefs For Change project seeks to identify and recommend highly regarded well-spoken of men and women in their communities to WEN royals (WEN board of advisors made up of a Corp of Traditional rulers) to be Chiefs for Change and Ambassadors of the community/kingdom from where they will receive their chieftaincy titles.
WEN’s Selection Criteria for Nomination, include:

1. Person of integrity, clean background (WEN will make inquiries about nominees)
2. Upon nomination, he or she at liberty to:
   1. Read about the suggested community or any other community listed on our page to learn about that community/kingdom. (Information about the kingdom is placed on this page, next to the WEN royal. Details about the community/kingdom will range from the demographics to community activities).
   2. Read about the carefully selected projects in the village, he or she can contribute toward.
   • WEN requires traditional rulers to identify and provide community projects for the benefit of community members, not traditional rulers.
   • WEN works with traditional rulers to define current capabilities, measurable gaps, desired needs, and the most appropriate solution to mitigate or close these gaps.
   • WEN formalizes the terms and conditions to co-manage the project, which includes updating all stakeholders of the project status.
3. Determine whether to contribute the total or a part of the project.
4. Make payment to WEN.
5. Prepare for the Chieftaincy Title nomination recognition ceremony in June during WENEFF.
   be sure to invite your family and friends to witness the ceremony.
6. Prepare to travel to the kingdom/community for the Chieftaincy Title installation whenever possible.

MAKING YOUR CONTRIBUTION TOWARD THE PROJECT

1. The minimum required monetary contribution is $2,000. This means you partially or fully fund the entire project.
2. All monetary contributions will go through WEN. 20% of the contribution will be applied toward administrative fee.
3. WEN will co-facilitate the project, including reporting progress status to all stakeholders
