World Ebony Network’s (WEN) Media Program, under the Arts and Crafts Portfolio, advances WEN’s mission by reinforcing the enduring and noble philosophies, principles, and practices of our ancestors while promoting ethnic equity, equality, and mutual respect among all communities. The program will serve as a creative bridge between generations, using modern media tools to preserve traditional wisdom, celebrate cultural craftsmanship, and highlight the shared values that unite diverse heritages. Through inclusive storytelling, digital production, and community-based media arts, WEN will create equitable platforms where individuals from all ethnic backgrounds can document their histories, showcase artistic traditions, and contribute to a collective narrative rooted in dignity, resilience, and cultural appreciation.
Realistic programs and projects under this initiative may include the Ancestral Wisdom Digital Archive Project, capturing oral histories and traditional practices from elders across different ethnic communities; the Heritage Media Fellowship, training emerging creators in documentary filmmaking, podcasting, and visual storytelling focused on cultural preservation; and the Craft & Culture Documentary Series, spotlighting artisans and cultural practitioners whose work reflects time-honored traditions. Additional initiatives could include an annual Intercultural Arts & Media Festival featuring films, photography, and multimedia exhibitions celebrating global heritage; a Youth Heritage Story Lab where students produce short films about their family histories; and a cross-cultural podcast series exploring shared ancestral values such as integrity, community stewardship, and craftsmanship. Together, these programs would preserve cultural legacies, foster cross-ethnic appreciation, and strengthen WEN’s commitment to honoring the wisdom of the past while building an equitable and inclusive future.
