MR. HARRISON NWOZO, JR.

Harrison has also worked as director of marketing and community relations of Tribex Marketing Group, where he led the company in extensive community outreach, community development, and program management.  Throughout his career as a community leader and activist, Harrison has focused his efforts on empowering people to revitalize their communities by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, tools, and resources to overcome historic disparities and hardships. He has forged strong partnerships and connections with African diaspora and other minority communities to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are taken into account. Harrison recognizes the importance of representation and is dedicated to finding innovative ways to bridge community development, outreach, grassroots organizing, cause marketing, and social media marketing efforts to address the various socioeconomic disparities and intersections that exist within local and even international communities.

In November 2014, he won the Trailblazer in Innovative Marketing and Humanitarian Services award for the Washington Metropolitan region. In 2018 and 2014, he received the Community Advocate award and the Domestic Violence Advocate award, respectively, from two well-known community-based nonprofits.

Harrison holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master of Science in Technology Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He lives in Prince George’s County with his wife and three daughters.
